Our mission: be a catalyst FOR INITIATIVES in favor of general interest and common good 

SOMFY Foundation achieves this mission by providing financial support and mobilizing SOMFY Group employees’ skills… for the benefit of our partnering associations. By providing expertise, time and commitment, SOMFY Foundation supports associations and players on the field to respond appropriately to the needs of beneficiaries.

SOMFY Foundation is actively committed to working alongside associations and local players to offer to everyone decent living conditions.

Since 2021, SOMFY Foundation has broadened its scope of intervention around 3 fields of action: Promoting access to decent and sustainable housing, better social integration and a healthier environment.

SOMFY Foundation sees these themes as key factors in making the planet a better place to live, and supports initiatives that place these issues at the heart of their action. The aim is to weave, day after day, the bonds of humanity that form the basis of a balanced society.

By supporting concrete local initiatives, SOMFY Foundation encourages encounters between different social categories and generations. On an exceptional basis, it also wishes to support access to emergency housing for people living in regions of the world affected by natural disasters or conflicts.

Through its actions, SOMFY Foundation aims to raise awareness, sharpen our perception of the world and inspire lasting and significant change.

RESOURCES AND IMPACT

With a multi-year program of at least €370,000 per year, SOMFY Foundation is firmly committed to working with associations and local players to promote dignified living conditions for all. This financial support is allocated to projects aimed at promoting access to decent and sustainable housing, improving social integration and creating a healthier environment.

SOMFY Foundation concentrates its resources on initiatives that place these issues at the heart of their actions, helping committed players to find appropriate and effective solutions, both in France and internationally.

By combining this financial endowment with human support through the commitment of SOMFY Group employees, SOMFY Foundation offers comprehensive support to associations, responding to their specific needs and maximising the effectiveness of interventions.

In 2023, more than €500,000 was distributed to various players and more than 650 SOMFY Group employees were involved in projects in one or more of SOMFY FOUNDATION’s 3 fields of action.

Among them, SOMFY Foundation renewed its commitment as a founding member of the Les Petites Pierres Endowment Fund and its international partnership with Habitat For Humanity and developed its international solidarity offer with Acted. As part of the expansion of its fields of action, the Foundation is also involved with new players such as the ONF, Sport dans la ville, Ma Chance Moi Aussi and Énergie Jeunes.

OUR ORGANIZATION

To select the initiatives submitted to it and support project leaders, SOMFY Foundation relies on a permanent team of four people as well as its Board of Directors, which is composed of company employees and expert figures in the fields of housing and solidarity.

The operational team is in charge of implementing the Foundation’s policy.

Its work is based on developing long-lasting relationships with the various stakeholders and project managers working in the Foundation's action areas.

  • Marine MORAIN

    Architect

    Architect at Arbor&Sens, Marine Morain has experience in architectural and urban design as well as ecological and participatory approaches. Marine works closely with public and private clients to design buildings and sustainable neighbourhoods (High Environmental Quality). Her areas of expertise include sustainable architecture, participatory architecture, energy performance and comfort, and the quality of interior atmospheres. In 2016, Marine Morain won the AMO Habitat Architecture Environnement Prize. This is the only major national architecture prize that is jointly awarded to the architect and the client.
